Vom Feuerland zum BND-Viertel – im Kiez der Agenten

Wo einige Tausend Menschen an der Chausseestraße für die deutschen außen- und sicherheitspolitischen Interessen arbeiten und neue Wohnbauten wie die Pilze aus dem Boden schießen, rauchten vor einem guten Jahrhundert die Schlote.

Die Geburtstätte der Berliner Industrialisierung, das vor dem Oranienburger Tor gelegene "Feuerland", ist heute ein Viertel, das die wichtigsten historischen und aktuellen Komponenten der Stadtentwicklung exzellent sichtbar macht.

Kombinieren lässt sich die Tour mit einem Besuch der vormals ausgelagerten Friedhöfe mehrerer Berliner Gemeinden mit Gräbern berühmter Berliner wie dem Konditormeister Kranzler und dem Schriftsteller Theodor Fontane. 

Oder es geht vom "Feuerland" über den Mauerweg in die "Sahara", das ehemals wüste Land, wo sich Kriegsinvalidenversorgung, medizinische Ausbildung, Maueropfergedenken und auf dem Invalidenfriedhof die militärischen Epochen Preußens und des Deutschen Reiches bis zu seinem Ende ablesen lassen.
